About Me

An award-winning artist based in Leicester with over five years of experience exhibiting and developing her practice. Working with oils, gel prints and silk screen printing, Lis' work is fluid, frenetic and dynamic, reflecting both her internal state and that of her work’s subjects.

Lis began working as an artist from a place of catharsis; using creativity as a route to healing and making work that explored and championed women’s issues. This has led to several commissions from various organisations to create work with women in underrepresented communities across Leicestershire, helping them to find their voice and break free from shame and stigma. This has and always will be a vital part of her practice, but her recent work moves beyond this, using diverse art-forms to reflect the joys and passions of Lis' life now.
